Milestones in our history
Foundation
“D’Antilles et D’Ailleurs” is founded in Martinique to provide
support to the most vulnerable groups, in particular women victims of violence and young people on the island.
The first head office is located in the town of Le Robert.
Le Trois Lieu
The association expands and moves to the heart of the capital, Fort-de-France, where it creates a new headquarters, Le Trois Lieu. This space is both a co-working space, hosting the Mouvement du Nid -Martinique team and the cultural association FLAM – Femmes Latino-Américaines en Mouvement, as well as a support space for migrant women in or at risk of prostitution, located in the city’s priority district.
Made in Women
D’Antilles et D’Ailleurs is taking its first steps towards becoming an inclusive social enterprise. Le Tois Lieu is the birthplace of Made In Women:
, an upcycling and professional sewing training workshop,
, aimed at integrating migrant women who are victims of prostitution.
In Suriname
D’Antilles et D’Ailleurs wins its first international cooperation project
in Suriname, CHANGE NICKERIE! Thanks to the
EuropeAid program, the association is beginning to work on the migratory paths of the women it helps in Martinique.
Europe Direct Center
D’Antilles et D’Ailleurs obtains the Europe Direct Label and inaugurates the Centre Europe Direct Antilles-Guyane in Le Trois Lieu.
This center represents the European Commission’s information network and aims to make Europe accessible to all citizens, at regional and local level, and to involve the public in the debate on the European Union, its policies, its priorities and its future.
